Action Alert: Urge House to Pass FY26 Spending to Fund Domestic & Global HIV Programs

Overview

On Monday, February 2, the House begins its consideration of the FY26 spending package that includes funding for domestic and global HIV programs. The Save HIV Funding (SHF) campaign urges the House to pass the 5 bill FY26 spending package that would fully fund access to health care and supports for people living with and vulnerable to HIV in the U.S. and globally. At the same time, the SHF Campaign stands in solidarity with allied communities and organizations against funding for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) until violent immigration enforcement abuses end in Minnesota and other communities and Congress enacts effective guardrails and meaningful change to stop the violence and abuse and protect immigrants and their communities.

A final vote could take place late today (Monday) or tomorrow (Tuesday). Please call your Representative ASAP to urge them to:

  1. Pass the final 5 bill FY26 spending package to fully fund access to health care and supports for people living with and vulnerable to HIV in the U.S. and globally.
  2. Reject funding for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) until ICE and Custom and Border Patrol surge forces are out of Minnesota and other communities and Congress enacts effective guardrails and meaningful change to stop the violence and abuse.
